Companion Dogs, Puppy Kindergarten, Advanced Obedience, Rally, 4-H/Youth

I began training dogs in 1987, when I got my first Golden Retriever. He was big and bouncy! I have had many sporting and herding dogs since then, and started teaching about 15 years ago. I started The Greater Dog in 2018, with the goal of providing fun, compassionate, small training classes for people and their pets. I take 3-4 continuing education classes per year to keep up with the latest positive based training techniques.
Currently, I have 2 Miniature American Shepherds, Maisey & Trip, who are involved in Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Nosework, and Treibball. I also teach primarily Obedience with the Washington County 4-H Dog Project and am a Rally and Obedience judge for 4-H. I also am a Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog evaluator for the American Kennel Club.
