Companion Dog Classes
We provide positive training for both people and dogs! Our maximum class size is 6-8 training teams, so you'll get the personal attention you need.

Puppy Preschool
Puppy Preschool is for very young puppies. This 6-week class focuses on socialization, communication skills, household skills, obedience skills, and husbandry skills at a level young puppies can process.
Prerequisites
For puppies 8-16 weeks old on the start date of class. Toy breeds can join up to 20 weeks old. Puppies should have their first puppy shot series before starting class.

High School / Canine Good Citizen
This class builds on the skills learned in Middle School to cement those behaviors with distractions. It's great for those who bring their dogs out in public. Dogs will also have the opportunity to earn their Canine Good Citizen Certificate!

AKC STAR Puppy Evaluation
The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program focuses on all the things every puppy and owner need to have a great start together. STAR stands for Socialization, Training, Activity and a Responsible owner. We offer evaluations for any puppy under a year old who has attended 6 hours of class in any of the Companion Classes.
Prerequisites
Puppies need to be under 12 months old on the evaluation date and have attended 6 hours of class at The Greater Dog.

Reactive Rehab
Regain control and learn how to help your four legged friend with our reactive rehab class. Resolving reactivity requires work on both ends of the leash. This class focuses on teaching helpful foundation skills, improving communication, and building confidence.
Prerequisites

Therapy Dog
Therapy Dog class covers everything from dog handling to visiting protocols so you will be prepared for your evaluation and ready to go out and visit! Class will also require outside reading and written homework in addition to training your dog.
Prerequisites
Dogs need to be 12 months old and have completed Middle School or equivalent.
