Kathryn Monroe
Theraphy Dog

Life with dogsā¦a life-changing treat all its own, and too good not to share with others. The joy of cuddling, training, titling, showing, breeding, and serving of the Board of various dog clubs over many years led Kathy to a Masters Degree in Adult Education so she could better train others. Of all her doggie activities, her favorite by far is visiting with her dogs in therapy dog visits. Kathy has worked with children with autism on social skill development, middle school reading programs, senior citizens, memory care units, and more.
She's taught therapy dog training for 22 years, incorporating skills needed not just to pass evaluation tests for national therapy dog registries, but also to converse easily with those whom we visit. As therapy dog handlers, we receive far more than we give.
