Julie Timbers

In all my years, I’ve never not had a dog. I grew up with a menagerie of animals that taught me so much about animal behavior. In the early 80’s I began competing in obedience but I was more interested in the Conformation competition simultaneously going on. I acquired my first conformation dog in 1984, and there was no turning back. By the mid 90’s I was training and handling many different breeds for others. I have been teaching classes since 1996. I have bred and shown to their Championship over 125 Lhasa Apsos, competing at some of the biggest shows around the country. In 2006, I became a AKC judge for multiple breeds and Juniors.

Dogs have so much to teach us. I have trained and obtained titles in agility, rally, therapy dog, trick titles and Canine Good Citizen. My enjoyment comes from sharing my knowledge and helping others bring out the best in their own dogs. Understanding their dog’s behavior and how a different approach can help. My goal is not to train the “perfect” dog but to help the dog be perfect for its family.
